T O P I C R E V I E WC. AndertonI've just been having a look at some of the NASA Mission Reports series - I didn't realise what I've been missing! Can I get these here in Britain? I only have a debit card (never used a credit card - never will!!!), so I don't think I can order overseas. Are they available here? Also, I see the Apollo 12 EVA footage is in video format, whereas kinescope was used on the Spacecraft Films disc set. Does this mean the full-quality video exists somewhere?Colin.NarahtThey're certainly available here. Foyle's in London seems to stock most, if not all, of them. And I've seen them around in various places, including a secondhand bookshop in Windermere. But the best place to start is probably Amazon's UK website, which seems to have most of them. [This message has been edited by Naraht (edited May 14, 2006).][This message has been edited by collectSPACE Admin (edited May 14, 2006).]MoltkeSpaceflight Now Magazine have a very good selection (19 titles) in their UK Store. They are listed at: http://www.spaceflightnowstore.com/uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=24_30 NarahtSupporting Spaceflight Now is a laudable goal. However it's worth noting, if only for informational reasons, that Amazon's prices are lower for quite a few of the Mission Reports.C. AndertonThanks folks. I'll check them out. Thanks for your help.Colin.polluxIts also worth considering Amazon.com - sometimes works out even cheaper than .co.uk, even after adding postage. And very quick (last delivery took 4 days!).And I personally would only EVER use a credit card for internet orders.nasamad Don't know where in the UK you are Colin, but if you live or work in London, drop by the Science Museum bookshop as they usually have alot of the Apogee books on sale there, plus many other related titles. Adamspacecraft filmsThe Apogee Apollo 12 V2 TV transmissions are also derived from kinescope.MarkcspgFuture NASA Mission Reports books will probably be selling directly from Apogee Books according to correspondence I had with the publisher. If there's enough demand, I guess, that might change. There are 18 reports to be published. Chris.farthestreachesFor those who may be interested, still have copies of the Sigma 7 Mission Report (Apogee) that are hand signed by Wally Schirra. See my website for details. Incidently, a portion of the proceeds from these signed copies were donated to the ASF.------------------Steve Hankowhttp://www.farthestreaches.comBlackarrowAny sign of Apogee NASA Mission Reports on Skylab and ASTP?cspgJerry Carr's autobiography is due in the fall (see my post "upcoming publications". Otherwise, no, no news regarding Skylab or ASTP books- I know that Apogee Books is "inundated with manuscripts", said the publisher. So I'm not sure that those reports are on top of their list. But I may be wrong.Chris.
